BORDER SEMI-JUNIOR LEAGUE

Hawick Wanderers56

Duns0

WITH several experienced players missing some of the younger squad members got to show what they could do.

And it wasn’t long before they opened the scoring through Grant Huggan with Matty Douglas adding the conversion and a penalty.

Scott Anderson grabbed another converted try and then Jack McColm barged over, with Douglas securing the extras. And when Andrew Baillie added to the try count a rout looked very much on the cards as another conversion and two penalties from Douglas brought the half-time score to 37-0.

After the break Huggan notched his second try and went on to set up Sam Bandeen for a score.

And the flying winger helped himself to another try to complete a great afternoon’s work for the Wands.
