POLICE are appealing for witnesses following the theft of equipment from a field at Midshiels, near Denholm.
And they have also issued a warning for vigilance after the electric energiser and tractor battery, worth £370, were stolen.
Chief Inspector Andrew Clark said: “We would urge farm owners to remain vigilant and come forward if they remember seeing any suspicious activity in the area recently.”
The incident happened between 4pm on February 11, and 7am on February 12. Police urge the public to ensure property is secured following a number of recent high-value housebreakings.
