St Boswells Live! has secured for their next show an incredible band who normally rock out far larger venues.
Dubbed “One of the best live acts in the country” by the Daily Telegraph, Wille and The Bandits are making a stopover in St Boswells before heading down to headline the Bowness Blues Festival the next day.
With their fresh approach to blues rock music, Wille and the Bandits have been assertively carving a place for themselves in Europe’s music scene, developing a reputation as one of the best live acts around. The band were listed in the top 10 must-see bands at Glastonbury 2014 by BBC Radio 1 and were invited to perform on the German TV show Rockpalast; a musical institution of global import.
Essentially, Wille and the Bandits is a classic blues rock three piece, in the vein of Cream or The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and like these bands is pushing at the boundaries of their genre.
St Boswells Live’s Graeme Mitchell said: “It’s a very exciting time to be involved in live music, especially having the chance to bring acts of the calibre of Wille and The Bandits to our village venue. We have always said that whatever your taste in music, you will come away from a St Boswells Live show wanting more. The March show is going to be something very special.”
Returning to St Boswells for the third time, with a performing partner, Stefano della Casa, and a caseload of wonderful new songs, support act Hannah Scott has hovered on the cusp of fame for many years. With praise from the likes of Dermot O’Leary, Steve Lamacq and Bob Harris, she remains one of the finest unsigned singer-songwriters performing in Britain today.
