HAWICK have secured the services of Tane Manihera for the new season.
The 34-year-old Kiwi, who played rugby league alongside current Greens coach Derek Armstrong, joins from Whitehaven, although he has previous experience of rugby union with Wigton.
And Armstrong has hailed the signing of the back, who can play at stand off or centre.
He said: “It’s good to have someone of his experience added to the squad, which will be a great help to the young players.”
Armstrong also confirmed that the club is in early talks to see if Neil Renwick would be keen on an early return from his foray in Australia.
