Hawick Albion’s under-14 squad retained their Melrose Sevens crown on Sunday with a display of speed, strength and skill.

The boys all worked really hard to win their three pool matches, beating North Berwick 25-5, Kelso 29-19 and Gala 26-12.

And then managed to overcome a stuffy Selkirk side in the final by 17-7 with a hat-trick of tries from Lewis Graham.

An Albion spokesperson told the Hawick News: “Every one of the boys deserve credit for this win, it was a real squad effort.”
