Hawick Albion Under-15s retained the Tom Law Cup at Mansfield Park on Sunday, defeating Gala Red Triangle 36 points to 17.
The Hawick lads were always in control in this game, which is an annual fixture between Albion and Gala Red Triangle at under-15 level, and despite Gala asserting themselves more in the second half, the young Hawick boys did more than enough to keep their opponents at bay and lift the trophy once again.
While the whole Albion squad played their part in a very solid team performance, Logan Gordon Woolley and Jack Scott stood out as constant thorns in the Gala side with their explosive running and solid tackling, to which Gala had no real answer.
An Albion spokesperson said: “Hopefully this squad of players can remain together and move forward to represent Albion’s under-16 side next season.
“We’d like to thank Rocky for his coaching contribution and to everyone else who helped out with this fixture.”
