RBS EAST LEAGUE DIVISION 2A
Harlequins were forced to settle for a draw in their last home game of the season against Earlston.
The Teries were in control early on and some attacking play culminated in Ally Pretswell diving over for his first try.
Although the conversion was missed, it didn’t take the Quins long to increase their lead through a Scott Peffers penalty. Earlston also kicked a penalty as the hosts went in 8-3 ahead at the break.
The restart saw both teams throwing the ball about for some good rugby, and it was the Quins who made the most of their possession with a touchdown from Rory Smith close to the posts, and Peffers adding the conversion.
With the Baker Street men thinking the game was won, Earlston came back at them with a converted try.
Time was now running out and after the Quins had missed a penalty, the visitors gathered and broke away for an unconverted try in the corner, which was to bring the scoring to an end.
