Wilton lead way in pub league

Results from the third round of games in the Pub and Club league played on Sunday were as follows: H. Bell 17, Mansfield Bar 10 (10 points to 6, +7); Wilton 14, Waverley Bar 12 (9-7, +2); Lodge 111 27,

G. Smith 5 (11-5, +22).

Positions after three rounds: Wilton 32, +28; Mansfield Bar 29, +5 shots; Lodge 111 261/2, +18; Waverley Bar 22, -1; H. Bell 181/2, -9 shots; G. Smith 16, -41.

Games this Sunday are posted on the notice board at the Indoor Stadium. All games starting at 10 a.m.

Winter events at Wilton

Members and friends of Wilton are reminded that several events are planned for over the winter months and the first of these is on Saturday when the clubrooms will be open from 1.30 p.m. to watch the

Scotland v. Japan Autumn international a snack of pies and peas will be available on the day.

A quiz is planned for November 23 and Alistair Gammie is the quizmaster and it is hoped to attract 12 to 14 teams, earlier in the day the club will be open from 5.30 p.m. so that members can watch the Scotland v. Australian match kicking-off at 6 p.m.

In December there will be a Chrismas Party night on the 21st and mixed dominoes on the 28th and all are welcome to attend, the clubrooms will again be open on Auld Year’s Night.
