THE Teviotdale Turbo club hit top gear with a raft of personal bests at the last BRSC Border League meeting of the season on Sunday.
First up was Emma Suddon in the girls’ 13-and-over 200m individual medley, in which she swam well and knocked one second off her previous time.
The backstroke saw Alix Piggot in the 12-and-unders’ event and Jenny Sharp in the 14-and-unders. Both battled hard, with Jenny shaving seven seconds off her PB.
Breaststroke was next with Sean McMichan and Emma Suddon both putting in good performances.
In the butterfly, the trio of Villmantas Noreika, Amy Johnstone and Emma Suddon were in action, with the latter recording a three-second PB.
The last event of the day was freestyle, in which Kirsty Wood and Ryan McMichan recorded one-second PBs, Alex Turnbull a superb five-second best time, and Jenny Sharp a two-second best.
Alix, Kirsty, Alex and Amy made up a 12-and-under medley relay team and all had great swims.
Well done to all swimmers whose hard training and commitment is reaping good times.
