Denholm horse rider Jane Currie is set to compete in the national final of the Riding for the Disabled Association’s dressage competition.
Jane, a member of the RDA, beat off strong opposition at the regional final at The Drum in Edinburgh last month. She now qualifies for the dressage competition at national level.
And she told the Hawick News this week she couldn’t wait for the competition to begin at the start of next month.
Jane, who has been involved into the RDA since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 18 years ago, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic and quite a privilege to be honest. It’s a huge honour to be representing the Borders.”
Barbara Berkowitz of Coldstream also made the finals, which are due to take place at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire on July 9 and 10.
