Thirty-three hardy athletes as well as a few well-wishers met on New Year’s Day for Teviotdale Harriers’ annual social run.
Although the weather was cold and underfoot conditions were tricky, a club spokesperson said spirits were high and everyone had a laugh.
The runners started at 10.30 from the High Street clubrooms, before heading up Wilton Burn and over the fields to Martin’s Bridge. They then regrouped on the Fisherman’s Walk to observe a minute’s silence in memory of Harriers who had passed away.
From here it was a very muddy route back to Buccleuch Lane, through Wilton Lodge Park and on to the finish at the clubrooms.
