WHILE some people play an entire lifetime without scoring a hole-in-one, Albert Thompson (pictured) is proving something of a dab hand at it.
The 68-year-old this week recorded his fourth ace as he holed a six-iron at the 139-yard par three eighth hole at Minto.
It follows previous holes-in-one at the sixth at Tullyallen in 1990; the fourth at Minto (2007) and at the 13th at Hexham in 2009.
The Minto golfer said: “I think for most middle handicap golfers it’s a matter of good luck when the ball goes in from the tee. You’re better being lucky than good!”
