HAWICK Legion are searching for a new manager.
It comes after co-managers Billy Brunton and Zeb Stewart tendered their resignations at the club’s annual general meeting.
Brunton (pictured) told the Hawick News: “I have resigned as Legion manager, and have also stood down from being chairman of the club.
“The chairman’s position has been filled by Davie Fraser who has been with the club for many years, while the manager’s job has been advertised.
“I think that it is time for a fresh face to be manager or chairman, although I’ll still be on the committee.” Associated with the Legion for more than 40 years, and a former goalkeeper of the club, Brunton added: “There has been a lot of talk that the Legion could be losing players to Hawick Royal Albert and we’ll just have to wait and see if this happens.
“It has also been said that Legion Rovers, our second team, might be folding, but at the moment the Rovers will be playing in the Border Amateur ‘C’ Division next season.
“The Rovers are a young squad of players who seem to be keen to play for the club.”
Applications for the manager’s position should be made to Dave McLean on 07802 910504 or email@example.com
