TEENAGE sensation Stuart Hogg made a scoring debut in the Heineken Cup as Glasgow Warriors narrowly defeated Bath at Firhill on Sunday.
And the 19-year-old Teri, who has started every game bar one for the Warriors this season, is now looking forward to locking horns with the might of Leinster.
Full-back Hogg, who bagged the opening try of the match against the English giants, told the Hawick News this week: “I was excited since I woke in the morning on Sunday and I was raring to go and get out and play.
“We were playing some good rugby during the match but we really started picking up our own game in the second half.
“I was lucky enough to get on the scoresheet. I found a gap and managed somehow to get through to score. It was a great feeling for me but also to get points on the board for the team.”
The victory propels Sean Lineen’s side to the top of Heineken Pool 3.
But Hogg knows there’s plenty of hard work still to be done as they head to the Royal Dublin Showground for Sunday’s match against Leinster.
He added: “It was a great feeling to win our first pool game which stands us in good stead for this weekend’s game away to Leinster.
“Hopefully, I’ll be involved again but I guess I’ll have to work hard in training and then, hopefully, get the nod at 15.”
