It’s a battle of the basement boys in tomorrow’s East of Scotland First Division clash between Hawick Royal Albert and Eyemouth United.
Along with Kelso United, Royalists are anchored at the foot of the table with eight points each, while Eyemouth sit a place above on 12 points.
Talking of matters, Albert coach Alan Mckenzie told the Hawick News: “We really need a win on Saturday. Our low league position doesn’t lie and tells a tale.
“Sometime I feel we’ve been a bit unlucky in games but we’ve also brought a lot of things on ourselves.”
This will be the fourth meeting of the two clubs this season. Eyemouth having notched two victories, with the Albert winning the other encounter.
Mckenzie added: “Our games against Eyemouth have been very competitive and there has been nothing in them. We are no strangers to Eyemouth and Eyemough are no strangers to us and I’ve no doubt it will be another close game.
“A victory is very important, though, and would be a great platform for the rest of the season.”
Included in the Albert squad is former Hearts, Hibernian and Dunfermline Athletic signing Murray Lorimer.
The Haddington teenager was fixed up by Royalists a while back, but due to the bleak period and games being postponed, has yet to make his debut.
