In a game in which a swirling cross wind caused problems for both sides, Rovers were first to do the business.

After robbing a Victoria man of the ball, Cesar Bento slipped a pass to Chay Caldwell, who drilled a shot into the net.

Shortly afterwards on being found by a Jordan Caldwell free-kick, Jamie Dickson stuck away a second.

Victoria came rallying back to open their account and before the interval snatched an equaliser.

With Craig McCutcheon impressing, Rovers began to get a foothold in the second half and Sean Clarke restored the Teries’ lead in slotting in a Dickson cross from close range.

Rovers, in turn, edged further ahead when Jordan Caldwell beat the Selkirk keeper with a free-kick.

Michael Moir completed the scoring by waltzing round the home number one to net after fastening onto a through ball from Corey Wilson.

Commenting on his side’s victory, Rovers manager Darren McElrath said: “We did alright in bad conditions but we made it hard for ourselves at times. It was our third win in succession and we are still second top of the league so things are going well.”
