Hawick Legion’s managerial team have been credited with bringing a feelgood factor to the club, writes John Slorance.
Manager Mark Deans and his assistant Tony Craggs have been at the helm as the Wilton Lodge Park outfit have gone from the lower reaches of the ‘B’ Division last season to championship challengers this year.
Legion stalwart Billy Brunton said: “There has been a huge turnaround and we have Mark and Tony to thank for this. We are in with a serious chance of getting promotion and perhaps even winning the league.
“The pair of them have put a lot of hard work in, and this has a knock on effect, as players respond.”
Brunton added: “There is a real feelgood factor within the club, and it would be the icing on the cake if we could be champions. There are other teams in with a chance of winning the league, however, and a lot can still happen.”
Legion are at Chirnside United Colts, this afternoon.
