Hawick Royal Albert are to play Huntly in the first round of the Scottish Cup at Albert Park.
This was the outcome of yesterday’s draw which will see Royalists clash with the Highland League outfit on Saturday, September 26.
Commenting on matters, Albert manager Dean Shanks told the Hawick News: “It’s a home tie for us and the guys are delighted about this as playing at home is a bonus.
“Getting a chance to play in the Scottish Cup is a big thrill for our players and really they’re quite overwhelmed about it. The players might come from Edinburgh but they are proud to be playing for Hawick and want to do well for the town.”
