Hawick Royal Albert have stepped up their hunt for a new manager following the recent departures of team bosses Graeme Chadwick and John Fettes.

Coaches Alan Mckenzie and Ronald Fleming are currently in charge of team matters. However, who will take up the reins next term is anybody’s guess at the moment.

Albert secretary Dougie Purves said: “We’ve advertised the post on the East of Scotland League website.

“We’ve had a few enquiries about the job and things are looking quite positive. The committee have yet to interview any candidates, though. We’ll be giving it another week or so. However, we don’t want it to drag on too long. The quicker it is dealt with the better and hopefully the club will have a new manager soon.”

n Royalists play their last game of what has been a long, hard season when they clash with Kelso United at Woodside Park, this afternoon (Saturday). Kick-off 3pm.
