Bus journey spoiled by dirty windows

i WENT to Edinburgh recently on the 8.30am bus, thinking what a pleasant day for a trip to the capital. As I drive, I thought it would be nice for a change to go in the bus and be able to look out the windows at the lovely scenery.

How wrong could I have been? The windows were filthy and you couldn’t see a thing.

To make matters even worse, the heating wasn’t on and it was absolutely freezing.

But when we got to Edinburgh, I noticed their buses were as clean as could be.

Unfortunately, on the way home, it was the same scenario and I asked the driver whether or not the heating worked. He just shrugged his shoulders and said “it was at the back”. Whatever that’s supposed to mean, I don’t know.

Although the interior of the bus was clean enough, surely something can be done to make the journey more enjoyable?
