Organisers of the 64th annual Teviothead Show on Saturday will be hoping the good weather continues and regardless of what happens on Thursday, that folk vote with their feet and come along and support them.
Held once again at Falnash, by kind permission of the Fleming family, the event has attracted strong entries in all categories with judging in the sheep and industrial sections starting at 10.30am.
As usual there will be plenty to entertain folk throughout the day once the judging is over, including the usual hound trail and terrier racing which is always popular, while the dog show continues to grow every year. This time there is the new addition of a pet show at 1pm with entry on the day but competitors are asked to provide their own cages/baskets etc. Hawick Scout Fellowship Pipe Band will be back by popular request, and the usual catering and bar facilities will be available. Trophies, including a new one for the under-25 handler in the sheep section, will be presented at approximately 3.30pm by Jan Little.
