String Theory will welcome top Irish singer/songwriter Eleanor McEvoy to the Tower Mill auditorium on Monday night.
Known for touring in her own black hearse, McEvoy’s live performances have been described as intimate, emotional, uplifting affairs in which she explores soul, love and humour, using own compositions and interpretations from other song books in her rich, lilting voice and beautiful playing.
Now based in Wexford, Dublin-born McEvoy, whose career took off while playing with the Mary Black Band, also had a spell with the Irish National Symphony Orchestra. Her latest album, ‘Stuff’, was released in May 2014 to great acclaim, and in addition to performing a live session for BBC Radio 2’s Weekend Wogan show, McEvoy embarked on a six week sell-out tour of Australia.
Support act is local duo Brillig (Cindy Stirrat and Paul Templeman). Doors open 7pm and tickets are £10 from the Tower Mill box office.
