HIGH Street outlet Yeomans Outdoor Leisure is boxing clever this Christmas with a fund-raiser for some of the world’s poorest children.
The shop is taking part in Operation Christmas Child, with the main focus of the campaign to try to encourage as many people as possible to put a Christmas gift into a wrapped shoebox.
A minimum donation of £2.50 is also requested to allow for shipping and distribution to some of the toughest and poorest parts of the world.
Yeomans will be accepting shoeboxes up until November 18. Manager Scott Weddle said: “I have information leaflets in my store which detail what type of gifts can and can’t be received as well as box sizes and tags for either boy or girl gifts.
“I’m trying to raise as much awareness as possible about this campaign as obviously the more people who know about it, the more gifts can be brought in and sent off for a very good cause.”
