Wilton Dean WRI president Joyce Tinlin welcomed members to the March meeting with a spring poem. A one-minute silence was held for Mrs W. Pringle, a treasured member of the rural, who died recently.
The president then introduced Emma Emmerson, of Woodside Garden Centre, near Ancrum, who gave an interesting talk on spring planting and showed members many differen types of primroses and primulas. Emma also highlighted what plants gave colour at this time of year. After questions, a vote of thanks was given.
