RICCARTON Junction Station is again open to the public.
Over the past few years local group 'Friends of Riccarton Junction' have been working tirelessly to restore the facility, which is in Wauchope Forest, between Hawick and Newcastleton.
And next week they are inviting locals and tourists alike to their open weekend.
Between Saturday, August 7 and Sunday 8, visitors can enjoy a walk in the forest, view the plans for future renovations as well as seeing the recent restoration work, which includes platform refurbishment, positioning of a telephone kiosk and laying of tracks.
Each day begins at 10am and runs until 7pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday.
Refreshments will be available during the two days along with sales stands and a raffle.
