STATION Bar owners Craig Lyle and John McDevitt are celebrating ten years at the helm of the popular pub.
The pair have been pulling pints at the Dovemount Place hostelry for the past decade after transforming the premises in 2001, and are preparing to thank their customers with a special weekend.
Johnny said: “We are having a celebration to mark our ten-year love affair with the Station Bar and everyone’s invited. Starting next Thursday night through until Saturday we have enlisted local talent, and pints and nips will be the same price as they were in 2001.”
The party starts on Thursday night (December 8) with DJ Cookie hosting a pub quiz and disco with a £100 prize up for grabs, and on Friday night (December 9) the Curly Turtles will entertain with live music. Five Dollar Shake will take centre stage on Saturday night (December 10) in the function room upstairs, for which tickets are still available.
Joint owner Craig added: “We have seen a lot of changes over the ten years and seen other local pubs close, but we have a unique blend of customers, young and old, and are delighted to have reached this milestone.”
