Prime Minister’s mill visit

Prime Minister David Cameron paid a flying visit to Hawick Knitwear tonight (Thursday).

The Conservative Party leader, who was given a tour around the mill by the firm’s manufacturing director Ian McLeod, said his ministers would “stick to the ecomomic plan” for more jobs and growth.

Following his factory visit, Mr Cameron was due at Mansfield Park clubrooms for a reception with local dignitaries.
