Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit-and-run car crash near Hawick.
The incident happened on the A7 near Groundistone at around 2.15pm last Monday, and involved a white Iveco Daily camper van, which was towing another Iveco Daily van, when it left the road, overturned and collided with a wall. The van that was being towed spun off the road and also collided with the wall.
Both drivers of the vehicles failed to stop and report the accident and made off before police arrived.
PC Shiell told the Hawick News: “It is believed that the two drivers were picked up by a female driver and police are now appealing for her to come forward.
“Similarly, anyone who witnessed this incident is urged to contact police on 101.”
