Police made two arrests in connection with the supply of drugs in the town on Friday and recovered a cannabis cultivation in Roxburgh Drive.
And Police Scotland has carried out a further six house searches within the Scottish Borders as part of Operation Archerfish which is aimed at targeting individuals involved in the sale and supply of drugs into the local community.
On Friday, a vehicle was also stopped and searched with a substantial amount of drugs recovered. The two occupants were later arrested.
In total over a kilo of Class B controlled drugs were recovered.
From Friday’s operation, a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday in relation to charges of drugs supply.
Three other persons are being reported to the Procurator Fiscal for possession and production of Class B drugs and in the latest operation drugs with a street value of £12,800 and £2,900 in cash were recovered.
