Hawick teapot to go under hammer

A teapot which commemorates the 450th anniversary of the Common-Riding is being auctioned off.

The teapot, pictured, dates back to 1964 and is being sold at the Liddesdale Heritage Association’s annual auction on Saturday, October 10, at Newcastleton village hall.

Viewing of the items for sale begins at 10am and the auction will start at 1pm.

Other lots include books, pictures, general bric-a-brac, tools and a variety of household goods.

Refreshments will be provided, with soup and barley fadge served at noon.

Late items can be brought to the hall from 10am on the morning of the sale.
