SCOTTISH Borders Council has confirmed that there have been no sprays used in Wilton Lodge Park which have not been used in previous years.

It comes after reports of dogs being poisoned in the popular visitor attraction.

Fraser Dunlop, parks works manager, said: “There has been no spraying carried out in Wilton Lodge Park for over three months.

“The products used for weed control etc are the safest products available and would not cause dogs to contract viruses.”
