RUMOURS that Teviotdale Leisure Centre may have its opening hours reduced have this week been quashed.

Borders Sport and Leisure Trust chief executive Ewan Jackson says it is business as usual, despite media reports that a cut in management fee from Scottish Borders Council would affect services.

He said: “Teviotdale Leisure Centre is a great facility and we have no plan to cut opening hours. Our aim is to provide the activities and opportunities that local people want to enjoy, so the centre can prosper.”
