COUNCILLOR Stuart Marshall (pictured) has appealed for the local dog wardens to pay special attention to the town’s play parks during the summer months.

Speaking at this week’s community council meeting, he stated: “Now that we are into the lighter nights can we be more proactive around the play parks – there are still people allowing their dogs to go onto the grassy areas around parks and let their dogs foul.”

Hawick’s two community wardens agreed to keep an eye on those areas.
