A man found growing a cannabis plant at his home was fined £200.
Jamie Brown, 21, of Mansfield Crescent, admitted producing cannabis at his home on August 19.
Depute fiscal Tessa Bradley told Jedburgh Sheriff Court: “Police seized a sample plant from the kitchen windowsill, and he told officers it was his and he was growing it for himself.”
The plant was valued at approximately £100.
A 43-year-old who admitted producing cannabis had sentence deferred until November 25 for a criminal justice social work report.
Mark Makin of Dovemount Place, admitted having cannabis at Station Buildlings Dovemount Place, on September 2, and producing the illegal drug.
