After being released on bail just the previous day, Rory Morrison appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court the next morning, accused of having a knife in Hawick.

Morrison, 24, of Towerknowe, was remanded in custody for trial on November 3, after he denied having a kitchen knife at Sandbed, on October 6, while on an ASBO and bail. An intermediate diet was set for October 21.

Opposing bail, depute fiscal Mark Keane, described Morrison as “a danger to the public”.
