Hawick Callants Club Common-Riding window display competition was won by Lily of the Valley, O-Connell Street with their stunning floral display depicting the Hawick songs.

The windows were judged by High School pupils Euan Welsh, Braden George, Eilidh Murray, Mya Pearce and Leanne Scott.

Second place was Halo and third Deans & Simpson. Lindsay & Gilmour.

Rum and Milk, Libby’s and Teviot Wines were also highly commended.

Speaking this week, Callants Club President Frank Scott said: “We judged 40 to 50 windows and some of them were spectacular. Antone who took the time to dress their window in Common-Riding colours or who had a blue and yellow themed window were judged. The kids were great and managed to do the judging in a morning and were treated to bacon rolls, chips and cheese and ice cream.”
