Hawick MSP John Lamont showed his support for the local branch of Marie Curie Cancer Care by joining a fundraising drive at Sainsbury’s.
The Holyrood member turned his hand to volunteering at the local supermarket where branch members raised nearly £1,000 over three days at a table set-up to encourage customers to donate. And Mr Lamont said he was thrilled to help such a worthy endeavour.
“I was delighted to do my bit to help collect money for this fantastic cause in Hawick. Every bit of fundraising helps go towards providing care for those who are terminally ill,” he said.
And the MSP added: “I would encourage everyone in the town to donate some money next time they see a collection. Even a small donation can make such a big difference and will go towards ensuring that patients continue to have the best end-of-life care possible.”
