HAWICK’S Tony Wilson has donated £1,042 to the Intensive Therapy Unit at Borders General Hospital in memory of his late wife Jenny.

The money was collected at the funeral service in recognition of the care Mrs Wilson received during her time in ITU.

Mr Wilson said: “The care that was shown to Jenny, me and other members of our family by the team in ITU was incredible. The staff made sure that I was always fully aware of what was happening, and nothing was too much trouble for them.

“The generosity of family and friends at Jenny’s funeral illustrates how highly the ITU is regarded, and I hope that our story will encourage others to donate to the unit.”
