The Jedforest Hunt is set to stage its annual Boxing Day Meet on Denholm Green, tomorrow (Saturday).
The hunt, established in 1884, has been meeting on Boxing Day for more than two centuries and always attracts a big turnout of locals.
John Richardson, joint master of the hunt, said: “The event has been going on for over 200 years in this area and it is a very special tradition.
“Lots of people like to come out and see the hounds and the horses groomed and polished up.
“We will be meeting at 11am but leaving for the hunt will most likely be prolonged to give spectators a chance to take it all in.”
The hunt will meet in Denholm where they will follow a route to the south of the village.
The aim of the Jedforest Hunt is to provide a service to farmers and landowners by controlling foxes.
