THE Style-A-Head team wowed an audience at the Mansfield House Hotel on Wednesday night with the town’s first ever hair show.
Shop owner Nadia Cranston and stylists Laura Campbell, Chelsea Hogg and Lauren Scott took to the stage to showcase different styles and techniques as part of a special ladies evening to raise money for the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity (Sands).
The hairdressing team showed off their skills with a striking ‘avant garde’ and ‘commercial’ look each on their models, whilst talking the audience through the colours, cuts and styles – before each model strutted their stuff down the catwalk in outfits from Eden.
Organised as part of stylist Lauren’s bid to raise money for Sands, a charity close to her heart following the death of her sister Kirsty’s baby boy, the evening raised over £800 and has been hailed a huge success. Lauren said afterwards: “The show was in memory of my little nephew Euan and I am overwhelmed with the support that everyone has given, and all the hard work Nadia and everyone put in.”
In-house beauty therapist Danielle Crantson also provided manicures, and Karen Wilson’s stand of candles proved a hit.
Style-A-Head proprietor Nadia said: “This was the first time anything like this has ever been done in Hawick and we were delighted with how it went. We hope to do more hair shows in the future.”
