Hamish clocks in at Probus

Hamish Smith gave a detailed and informative presentation on the design and construction of the clock above his shop at The Horse.

The mechanics were in the hands of Hamish and the casings by his absent henchman, Tosh Scott. The figure turntable is operated by a modified windscreen wiper motor. The case is plywood with a mahogany skin, and the top was constructed by a leadsmith from Coldstream.

The clock is now world renowned due to the CCTV camera focused on it. This was an excellent effort, punctuated with much humour and leg-pulling with a certain individual!

Tony Wilson gave a vote of thanks.
