Francey for folk club

DENHOLM Folk Club is set to welcome singer-songwriter David Francey at the end of the month – and gig-goers can look forward to the Scottish-born Canadian’s straightforward songs about real people and real places.

Since leaving the construction industry to record the album Torn Screen Door in 1999, Francey has become recognized as one of today’s finest singer-songwriters, and poetic perception and a keen eye for the heart of the matter are his trademarks.

More info on the gig, which takes place on Thursday, August 30, from the Auld Cross Keys on 870305.
