Foundation’s heartfelt thanks to townsfolk

MAY I express my sincere thanks to our supporters on behalf of the Hawick committee of the British Heart Foundation.

During the last year, townsfolk have helped the committee raise the grand total of £4,478 to help the foundation in its research in the fields of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory disease. Your contributions are very much appreciated.

The aim of the foundation is to eradicate all premature death from heart disease and, since no government support is received, its work relies entirely on the public’s continuing and generous support.

Through your columns, I would like to thank the members of Wilton Parish Church and their family and friends who helped organise and also joined us for the recent coffee morning, at which the fantastic sum of £514.36 was raised for church funds.
