A 21-year-old who grew cannabis at his home with a potential value of £4,000, has been sentenced to a six-month Community Payback Order and will carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
Andrew Clamp, of Earl Street, admitted producing cannabis at his home on August 4. Police found 11 plants which Clamp was growing to feed his own long-term habit.

His defence solicitor, Mat Patrick, told jedburgh Sheriff Court his client had been using cannabis for “a significant period of time”.
