Trial date for salon incidents accused

A 51-year-old man is to stand trial accused of causing fear and alarm to the proprietors of a hairdressing salon in Hawick.

Andrew Seymour is charged with engaging on a course of conduct which involved smearing, or cause to be smeared, saliva or other bodily fluids on the entrance door of Klippers Hair Design in High Street.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on various occasions between May 31 and August 24.

Seymour, of Northcote Street, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and the trial was fixed for January 16.
