Police are appealing for information following several vehicle-related thefts in and around Hawick.
The first incident took place overnight last Saturday into Sunday (October 31-November 1), when a minibus was stolen from Fairhurst Drive.
It was subsequently found at Whitmuir House last Tuesday (November 3), with its number plates switched.
Another vehicle was stolen from Borthwickbrae, near Roberton, lastTuesday (November 3). This vehicle is yet to be recovered.
In a separate incident, a set of number plates was stolen from outside an address in Alemoor Court
This incident was reported to police last Tuesday (November 3).
Inspector John Scott told the Hawick News: “There have been a number of car- related thefts in the Hawick area recently and we are appealing for any informa- tion regarding these inci- dents.”
