Police are appealing for witnesses following a break-in at a farm in the Denholm area.

The incident happened between Monday-Sunday, September 14-20.

Thieves targeted a shed at the property and among the items stolen were tools, a number of generators, an angle grinder, power washer, calliper retractor and a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

PC Sarah Henderson told the Hawick News: “We’re eager to return these items to their rightful owners and are urging anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Denholm area around this time, or who knows the whereabouts of the stolen items, to get in touch.

“Be wary if you are offered items of this description at a disproportionately cheap price, or the seller cannot provide proof of ownership. If you purchase stolen items, knowingly or otherwise, they can be returned to their original owners meaning a financial loss for yourself.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555 111.
