A male has been arrested and charged following a spate of vandalism in the town.
Local officers had been investigating after four vehicles in North Bridge Street were damaged along with a window at the library and a window in Allars Crescent on Tuesday. A number of plants were also uprooted outside Boots (chemist) and this was linked to the other offences.
As a result of police enquiries, a 16-year-old was detained yesterday and subsequently charged.
Police are currently following a positive line of inquiry to trace another individual believed to have been involved.
