A teenager has been accused of possessing Ecstasy with intent to supply.

Jamie Thomson is said to have been found with the class A drug on Friday, August 21.

He made no plea or declaration when he appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and the case was continued for further examination.

The 19-year-old was remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.

Thomson appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court a fortnight ago in connection with 10 Hawick youths being hospitalised after taking an unknown substance. They were all treated at Borders General Hospital and later discharged.

Thomson was charged with culpable and reckless conduct and his next court appearance in relation to that matter has still to be confirmed.
