A man who breached a bail condition not to approach his estranged partner has been warned any repetition will cost him his liberty.

Krzysztof Niemiec, 51, of Fisher Avenue, admitted breaching a bail order by entering Scott Crescent, and attempting to contact his former partner. He was granted bail, not to contact the woman, and sentence deferred until February 17 for a further assessment.

“I am warning you now, that if you have anything further to do with her, you could end up in prison for a significant period,” warned Sheriff Peter Paterson.

“If the report I receive is favourable you will be given a Community Payback Order,” he added. “But if you are not of good behaviour you will be remanded in custody.”
